Topical steroids in ophthalmology

Costisone acetate -
0.5% suspension
1.5% suspension

Hydrocortisone -
0.5 % suspension
0.2 % solution

Dexamethasone -
0.1% solution
Sodium phosphate 0.5% ointment

Betamethasone
0.1% solution
Sodium phosphate 0.1% ointment

Indications :
Uveitis
Scleritis
Allergic conjunctivitis (vernal catarrh and phlyctenular conjunctivitis)
Allergic keratitis
Cystoid macular oedema and after intraocular surgery.

Side effects :
Glaucoma, cataract, activation of infection, ptosis and dry eye.
