- Parasympathetic stimulation; Acetyl choline
- Beta-adrenergic stimulation
- Insulin resistance; Obesity
- Sulfonyl urea drugs (Glyburide, Tolbutamide)

*FACTORS THAT DECREASE INSULIN SECRETION:
- Decreased blood glucose
- Fasting
- Somatostatin
- Alpha-adrenergic activity
- Leptin
